NEW DELHI: Limping back to normalcy, 35 popular trains including Katra Mail, Kalka Shatabdi, Amritsar Shatabdi and Jammu Rajdhani, resumed operation today while the services of about 60 trains are still affected due to the Jat agitation.

"There are about 60 trains still affected. While some are cancelled, others are diverted or short terminated due to the disturbances caused due to the agitation," said a senior Railway Ministry official.

He said steps are underway for restoring operations of as many trains to facilitate passenger movement.

"We are trying to restore services of more trains. Services for Chandigarh, Amritsar, Hoshirapur, Jammu, Katra and Udhampur from here have been resored," he added.

Bramhaputra Mail and Udhampur AC Express, Andaman Express, Himachal Express, Shan-e-Punjab and Kerala Express are among those which have resumed service.
