Jaswant Singh still very critical
NEW DELHI: Former external affairs Minister Jaswant Singh continued to be in a critical condition and was kept in the ICU of the Army Research and Referral Hospital for the second day after suffering serious head injuries in his house on Thursday night.

The 76-year-old leader, who had served as defence and finance minister during the erstwhile NDA regime, was still unconscious and in a state of coma when reports last came in. The next 48 hours are crucial, according to doctors.

A team of doctors from AIIMS visited the army hospital and examined Singh. He is under constant monitoring by a team of neurosurgeons and critical care experts at the hospital, an update on his condition issued by the defence ministry said on Saturday.

Though his vital parameters are stable, Singh continues to be in coma. He is being kept on life support systems.
