Jaswant Singh discharged, to get supportive care at home
The 76-year-old leader was admitted on August 8 to the hospital in a critical condition after his family found him lying on the floor of his house in an unconscious state.

"Jaswant Singh is in minimally conscious state and is having unassisted breathing. He has been discharged to home for supportive care," Defence Ministry officials said.
They added that Singh's heart rhythm and BP are normal. The 76-year-old leader was admitted on August 8 to the hospital in a critical condition after his family found him lying on the floor of his house in an unconscious state.
Singh, who was in coma, had been on life support system all this while.
At the hospital, Singh was being given total parenteral nutrition (TPN) which delivers nutrients intravenously when a patient is unable to eat on his/her own.
Singh, who had also served as external affairs and finance minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government, was expelled from BJP early this year after he decided to contest the Lok Sabha polls from Barmer in Rajasthan as an independent when the party decided to field Col (Retd) Sonaram Chaudhary.
He had lost the election.
