Japanese Defence Minister Gen Nakatani San meets Rajnath Singh, offers support in wake of terror attack

Japan's defence minister Gen Nakatani San expressed solidarity with India in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and offered full support in a meeting with defence minister Rajnath Singh on Monday.

Singh condemned Pakistan's state policy of cross-border terrorism against India. The Japanese minister is on a bilateral visit to India and discussed defence cooperation and regional security in his meeting with Singh.

"Both sides condemned terrorism in all forms and emphasised the need for enhanced collaboration and joint efforts to counter cross-border threats," Singh said after the meeting, calling for a unified stand against terrorism and the state-sponsored actions that perpetuate it.


They reviewed defence and security pillars of India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.
