Jan Lokpal Bill: IT professionals take out march supporting Anna Hazare

IT professionals today took out a march here raising slogans against the arrest of civil rights activist Anna Hazare.

KOCHI: For the second day, IT professionals today took out a march here raising slogans against the arrest of civil rights activist Anna Hazare.

The professionals numbering about 500, holding placards and carrying the national flag, took out the march, Rajesh, who led the protest, said.

The march was taken out during the lunch break at the Infopark here. Ruby, a software engineer, said the arrest of Hazare was 'baseless' and 'unbelievable'. "I am very depressed, and I support the cause. We want the Lokpal Bill to be passed," she said.

Rajesh said efforts were on to mobilise the college students also for the protest. Elsewhere in the city, a relay fast is being organised at the Gandhi Bhavan in which women volunteers are also participating.

Yesterday, a small group took out the march to the Collectorate condemning the arrest of Hazare.
