Jan Lokpal Bill: Govt keeping all options open in case Hazare's health worsens

Government is keeping a close watch on the health of Anna Hazare and is keeping all options open in case it shows any deterioration.

NEW DELHI: Government is keeping a close watch on the health of Anna Hazare and is keeping all options open in case it shows any deterioration.

Government sources said officials were in touch with the team of doctors examining 74-year-old Hazare and a final decision was expected to be taken in case his condition further worsened.

The vital parameters of Hazare were normal during his afternoon examination by the doctors and his blood pressure was reported as 143/86, the sources said.

They said, if need be, negotiations with Team Anna comprising Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bushan and Arvind Kejeriwal may be initiated for giving health condition of Hazare a priority.

This comes in the wake of doctors expressing concern over his health and also advising his hospitalisation, a plea rejected by Hazare, who also refused to take intravenous drip.

The All Party Meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has also appealed to Anna Hazare to break his nine-day-old fast.
