Jan Lokpal Bill: 'Brothers of Anna Hazare' to join his protest fast
A group of men and women from the Gandhian's home state Maharashtra today came together at Rajghat to extend support to his agitation.
The group from Aurangabad district of the state had visited Hazare's village Ralegan Siddhi before coming to the national capital.
The group said they came here as they wanted to convey the message of villagers from Hazare's Ralegan Siddhi village that they are with him.
"We initially decided to come to Delhi straight from Aurangabad but then went to Anna's village to meet the people there and take their message to Anna," 52-year-old Karunabai Mahale said.
"Anna has done so much for his state and we expected him to do something for the country. We have travelled so much just to be with him," 60-year-old Baburao Patil said.
"We are all his 'bhaus' (brother) and friends and he needs the support of all of us," Patil said.
Dressed in traditional dresses, the group was carrying national flags and Hazare's portraits.
The group proposes to stay here for Hazare's fast at Ramlila grounds.
