NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet projects like ' Jan Dhan Yojna', 'Maa Ganga', bullet train and 'Make in India' will form part of the 25 tableaux that will be showcased on the Rajpath this Republic Day, where US President Barack Obama would be the Chief Guest.

Another tableau that is expected to garner attention is that of Uttar Pradesh on the rule of last Nawab of Awadh Wajid Ali Shah with the underlying theme of communal harmony.

Sixteen of the 29 states will be presenting their tableaux with different themes showcasing their cultures, among others at the Republic Day parade.

Gujarat will be presenting the tableau on the theme of Statue of Unity - Sardar Sarovar project.

It relates to Modi's plan pet to build a giant statue of country's first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the state.

The Department of Industrial Production and Promotion will have a tableau on 'Make in India'.

The CPWD will present it with the theme 'Maa Ganga' while Department of Financial Services will focus on the 'Jan Dhan Yojna'.

The Railways will present one with the theme of "Indian Railway on the fast track to future". Sources said the tableau will highlight the plan to have a bullet train between Mumbai and Gujarat.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development will present a tableau with the theme of 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padao', yet another pet project of the new government.

The tableaux of Ministry of Panchayati Raj will focus on model gram panchayat.

According to sources, the tableaux by Uttar Pradesh will focus on the life of Shah to showcase how peacefully Muslims and Hindus lived during his rule.
