He said the Governor gave a patient hearing to the grievances of flood victims and issued on the spot directions to Deputy Commissioner Srinagar for allotment of pre-fabricated structures to them.
He also asked the administration to ensure disbursement of relief cheques within a week's time.
At Barzulla, the Governor inspected the ongoing works for strengthening of embankments and bridging of breaches.
The Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control apprised the Governor about the status of ongoing restoration works, the spokesman said.
At Bemina, the Governor inspected the pre-fabricated shelters constructed for flood victims.
While interacting with the people there, he assured them full support of his administration in mitigating the grievances of the people.
Later the Governor undertook a tour of the commercial hub of Lal Chowk city as well, he said.
This is the first visit of Vohra to various flood hit areas of the city after the implementation of Governor's rule in the state on January 9.
