Jammu and Kashmir: PDP to elect party president on January 24

JAMMU: The election to choose president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be held on January 24 here.

Member of Parliament from South Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, is the current president of the party.

"The election to the post of president, Jammu and Kashmir PDP, has been scheduled for January 24 at the party's Jammu office," PDP chief spokesperson Naeem Akhtar said.

He said the Electoral College for the purpose has been convened at Jammu on January 24, at 11 AM.

"The invitations have been sent by the chairman electoral board, PDP, Abdul Rehman Veeri, to the members of the electoral college."
