J&K High Court chief justice Gita Mittal and Justice Rajesh Bindal in its court on its own motion stated that current J&K police security is porous and urged home ministry to provide CAPF security to both wings of the High Court J&K and all district courts of J&K.
The court referred to J&K High Court Bar Association’s call to its members to abstain from work indefinitely, posters of an unknown group J&K Fidayeen, threatening suicide attacks on the judiciary pasted in the Srinagar wing of the HC.“…We find that despite the sensitive nature of work being discharged by the courts the security to the high court as also the district court remains extremely porous,” read the fivepage order issued by the J&K High Court.
