SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir government today said a cash relief of Rs 5.50 lakh, which is part of Prime Ministers Developmental Package, will be disbursed among internally and externally displaced families from the state.

"These include displaced families from Chhamb and Pakistan occupied Kashmir," an official spokesperson said.

He said the West Pakistan Refugees had inadvertently cropped up instead of families displaced from PoK and Chhamb in the list.

The spokesperson said Rs 2,000 crore have been earmarked in the Prime Minister's Developmental Package for disbursement as cash relief.

"The government will formally roll out the cash relief disbursement process for the internally and externally displaced families of the state in Jammu soon," he said.
