JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred six officers, including two IAS, in the state, an official spokesman said here today.

The cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah last evening, ordered transfers and postings in the state administration.

Sanjeev Verma (IAS), Secretary to the Government, Bureau of Public Enterprises and Floriculture Departments, shall also be the Administrative Secretary of the Horticulture Department.

Sushma Chauhan (IAS), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority (JDA), while Kuldip Lal Khajuria (KAS), has been transferred and posted as Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jammu.

Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh (KAS), Deputy Commissioner (Central) in the office of the Financial Commissioner, Revenue, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, against an available vacancy, he said.

Arun Kumar Sharma (KAS), Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government, Forest Department, the spokesman added.

Bashir Ahmad Khan (KAS), Additional District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Kashmir, against an available vacancy, he said.
