Twenty-seven new heritage sites have been identified by the state government for preservation in Jammu and Kashmir.

JAMMU: Twenty-seven new heritage sites have been identified by the state government for preservation in Jammu and Kashmir.

"27 new heritage sites of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh region have been identified for preservation and listing under J&K Heritage Conservation and Preservation Act 2010", Minister for Culture Priya Sethi said.

She said it was an earnest effort of the present government to preserve heritage assets for future generations.

The Minister said Jammu region has a great historical importance as it used to be a hub of economic activities during Dogra rule.
