Jaipur traffic police to carry out verification of cab drivers
Last week, the taxi driver Yadav, was arrested by Delhi Police from Mathura for allegedly raping a 27-year-old woman executive in his cab.

The decision was taken following the revelation that the rape accused, a taxi driver employed by US-based taxi operator Uber, had submitted a fake police verification certificate.
"The process of verification of auto-rickshaw drivers is already going on and now we have decided to conduct verification of cab drivers also. For this, process will be initiated soon," DCP Traffic Haidar Ali Zaidi told PTI today.
He said verification drive will be initiated in association with the transport department.
The DCP informed that the police have not issued any guideline for radio taxi operators in the city so far.
Along with this, Zaidi said, a special drive against traffic violation and mini buses will also be undertaken.
"We conducted a campaign against underage drivers, loading vehicles and other rule violators recently and would repeat it again.
