Jail no bar for those behind bars in Punjab to hang out on social media
While police insist some of these Facebook posts may be put by their associates outside jail, numerous pictures posted on Facebook were taken inside the Nabha Jail.

It would all be normal but for the fact that gangsters Neeta and Mudki were lodged in the Nabha high-security jail from where they escaped on Sunday morning along with terrorist Harminder Singh Mintoo.
A day before the escape, Mudki posted on his facebook page, “Let's do something great so that we become famous”, which attracted over 900 likes and comments. Throwing a challenge to the government after his escape, Neeta posted on Facebook on Sunday afternoon saying Punjab Police should not atrempt what Bhopal Police did by resorting to a fake encounter of him and his three associates.
While police insist some of these Facebook posts may be put by their associates outside jail, numerous pictures posted on their Facebook pages were taken inside the Nabha Jail.
On November 23, their accomplice Vicky Gounder had updated his cover photo on Facebook with a group picture of all the four gangsters who escaped from the jail together on Sunday.
It now emerges that they were constantly in touch with outsiders through Whatsapp and social media posts, and mobile phones were freely available to them to hatch the conspiracy of the escape. Questions are being raised how their social media activities could escape the authority’s attention.
