Jail bharo agitation: Over 15,000 agitators court arrest

Over 15,000 BJP workers across Jharkhand courted arrest as part of the party's 'Jail Bharo' agitation against inflation and hike in petroleum products.



Ranchi: Over 15,000 BJP workers across Jharkhand today courted arrest as part of the party's ' Jail Bharo' agitation against inflation and hike in petroleum products.

Among those who courted arrest included BJP state unit president Dineshanand Goswami, party MPs Debi Dhan Besra and Ravindra Pandey, MLAs Uma Shankar Akela, Nilkanth Singh Munda and Kamlesh Oraon.

BJP spokesman Pradip Sinha said, "Our party demands immediate roll back of petrol prices and of essential commodities."

He said a jail bharo would be held in Ranchi tomorrow.
