Jaganmohan Reddy’s praise for Narendra Modi hints at YSR Congress-BJP alliance

HYDERABAD: Andhra’s YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy has commended Narendra Modi for his administrative abilities, his unsolicited praise for BJP’s prime ministerial candidate creating a flutter in political circles because his party has been expected to side with Congress.


Released after spending 16 months in jail last week, Reddy or Jagan (to his followers) in his first news conference since securing bail said he expected the Gujarat CM and BJP’s PM face to change the system. His comments were the most conciliatory to date from his party towards Modi or BJP.

“What I want Narendra Modi to do is — since I appreciate Narendra Modi as an administrator — to change the entire system.”
