J-K Govt sends proposal to Centre for setting up 150 ITIs
Jammu and Kashmir govt has submitted a proposal for establishing 150 ITIs and 142 Skill Development Centres to the Centre for approval under PPP mode.
Replying to a query by Congress MLA Ashok Kumar, Minister of State for Technical Education Vikar Rasool told the Assembly that the government has submitted a proposal for establishing 150 ITIs and 142 Skill Development Centres to the Centre for approval under PPP mode.
He said the Central Government contemplates to cover the backlog of these institutions during 12th five year plan.
Replying to another question by NC member Abdul Gani Malik, the minister gave an overview of several schemes under execution for the welfare of BPL families in the State.
In a separate query by Congress legislator T Namgyal, the minister informed that 115 posts are lying vacant in the Rural Development Department in Leh district. He said soon steps would be taken to fill up these vacancies.
