Continuing his efforts to forge unity among the opposition parties, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday met NCP supremo Sharad Pawar in New Delhi.

"Both Pawar and I are keen to unite opposition forces who are not with the BJP. A leader of the alliance can be decided later. It is important to come together first," Kumar told reporters after a 30-minute meeting with the NCP supremo.

CM Kumar, who has already met several opposition leaders like Congress' Rahul Gandhi, CPI (M)' Sitaram Yechury, CPI's D Raja, SP's Akhilesh Yadav and INLD's Om Prakash Chautala during his stay in Delhi in the last three days, said the time was ripe to present an alternative to the BJP. He attacked the BJP by saying that they (BJP) were not doing anything for the people.
