It seems I will have to fight for Lokpal all alone: Anna Hazare
“I do not understand how and why leaders who had taken up the Lokpal cause have now joined political parties,” Hazare told ET over phone from Ralegaon Siddhi.

“I do not understand how and why leaders who had taken up the Lokpal cause have now joined political parties,” the anti-corruption crusader told ET over phone from Ralegaon Siddhi when asked about his reaction to the Kejriwal vs Bedi competition.
“My idea was to fight for Lokpal without getting into electoral politics but it seems that they have other plans, so now I will continue to fight alone for Lokpal. Politics and elections have become very complex and I do not now wish to comment further about any of these leaders,” Anna said.
Anna said Bedi didn’t contact him before she decided to join BJP. Neither did Kejriwal when he formed the AAP in 2012. Anna said: “I have always said I am against political parties. In the Constitution there is no mention of political parties. Constitution provides only for candidates to fight elections and get elected.”
