It is wait and watch for OBCs: Maratha leader Manoj Jarange Patil

As Maratha leader Manoj Jarange Patil places more demands before the Maharashtra government, the OBC community is anxiously looking at the developments and working out a legal strategy to challenge the state government in case it concedes to his demands. "We are readying our legal challenge, we were given guarantees by senior government leaders from all the three parties (Shiv Sena, BJP and NCP- Ajit) that the Marathas would be given reservation but it won't be from the OBC quota. However, it seems that Patil may get his way," said a senior OBC leader.

The OBC community in the state comprises 250 communities but with only 19% reservation.
