Israeli PM Netanyahu lauds PM Modi for lifting India's ranking on ease of doing business index

The Israeli prime minister said that India is a model of democracy that shows humanity can be governed with freedom.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking at the Raisina Dialogue, praised India's jump in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business index by 42 places in three years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Israeli prime minister said that India is a model of democracy that shows humanity can be governed with freedom.

He also talked about the shared values that bind India and Israel together.


Netanyahu talked about cutting the role of bureaucracy so that firms can focus on creativity.

He said that exponential growth can be achieved through the confluence of big data and economy.

The Israeli prime minister thanked Indian Prime Minster Narendra Modi on his visit to Israel,a first by any Indian leader.

He also said that the relations between the two countries have to be further strengthened to counter radical Islam.
