Israel has been named as 'country partner' for India Water Week 2016 which is being oragnised by the Ministry of Water Resources, starting from April 4.
Israel's Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon said the participation will include a number of dedicated seminars, lectures by leading Israeli experts in the field of water and agriculture and many more activities throughout the week.
He also informed that Israel's Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel will inaugurate the exhibition and the country's pavilion.
"We have experience and knowledge as a former water scarce country and we are keen to be India's water partner and to provide the right water solutions needed," Carmon told reporters here.
He added that after agriculture and defence, the next big collaboration between the two countries would be in water.
"Israel is open and keen to collaborate and work with India on irrigation scheme, Swacch Bharat Mission, Clean Ganga project and any water related project," Isreal Embassy spokesman Ohad Horsandi said.
