NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s former military ruler Pervez Musharraf has warned that his country’s spy agency, ISI, would take “counter-measures” if India increased its footprint in Afghanistan. “Since our independence, Afghanistan always has been anti-Pakistan because the Soviet Union and India have very good relations in Afghanistan. Now, India is trying to create anti-Pakistan Afghanistan. This is most unfortunate, and I am not saying this because I am Indo-centric or I'm anti-India. I know this through intelligence; I know this to be a fact. We must not grudge if Pakistan orders ISI to take counter-measures to protect its own interests,” Musharraf, who is known for his record of bluster, was quoted as saying by agencies. He was delivering a talk at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington.
