Is Rajnath Singh eyeing Lucknow seat?

LUCKNOW: BJP President Rajnath Singh’s effort to highlight his close links with Lucknow led to some speculation.

He said: “Its composite culture is an example of Hindu-Muslim unity. There is a Lord Hanuman temple in Aliganj colony that wasn’t built by the Hindus, but by Muslims.”

“I have worked for many years in Lucknow... My heart is in Lucknow and UP only,” he said.

These remarks, coming just ahead of polls, triggered speculation that Singh is preparing to take the plunge from Lucknow.
