Delhi chief minister agreed to be political mentor of Sharmila, who fasted for 16 years demanding repeal of Armed Forces Special Power Act( AFSPA).
A close aide of Sharmila said, "The meeting was very cordial. Kejriwal asked Sharmila to emerge as an alternative to the BJP and Congress. He will ensure all help, even though Sharmila has no links with AAP."
Both the leaders agreed that they will meet again. The Delhi chief minister assured her that he will visit Manipur soon.
AAP is building organization in Manipur and will contest the assembly polls of 2017.
Sharmila would also be visiting Chandigarh where she would take part in World Youth for peace Conclave.
