Iraq suicide bomber kills five in car showroom

A suicide bomber blew himself up at a car dealership in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Saturday, killing at least five people and wounding nine.

KIRKUK, IRAQ: A suicide bomber blew himself up at a car dealership in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Saturday, killing at least five people and wounding nine, police said.

The attack took place at around 7:00 pm (1600 GMT) in the compound of the showroom in southern Kirkuk, Brigadier General Torhan Yusuf Abdul Rahman, deputy chief of police said.

"Five people have been killed and nine are wounded," he said.

Insurgents have regularly launched attacks in oil-rich Kirkuk, a city claimed by both Arabs and Kurds.
