IPL spot-fixing: Delhi Police talk to Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra
Delhi Police today called Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra to seek details about accused players in the IPL spot-fixing case.

Kundra, however, seemed unperturbed by the long questioning session and wrote on Twitter late night that he had been given an in depth knowledge by Delhi Police into the spot fixing case. “It's been a long tiring day. Kudos to Delhi crime branch — Mr Sanjeev Yadav, DCP; Mr Manish Chandra, ACP; Mr Srivastav, Special CP, and Mr MM Oberoi. Fantastic in-depth operation into this whole spot fixing saga! These guys are the real heroes cleaning up cricket in India! Thank You. A special mention to Inspector Tyagi whose real-life encounters & experiences were eye-opening; a real super cop! In a funny way, loved today,” Kundra tweeted after his questioning had ended.
The Delhi Police officially refused to specify the reason for questioning Kundra, with a senior police official saying that Kundra was an “important person” in the investigation but refused to specify if he was being treated as a suspect or a witness. The official refused to comment on reports that Kundra may be involved in betting and said he was called by police after the name of his business partner and friend Umesh Goenka came up in the probe. A Rajasthan Royals (RR) player, Sidharth Trivedi, who turned a witness for the police is believed to have told the investigators that Goenka approached him and sought details about the cricket pitch in Ahmedabad before an IPL match there and details about team formations.
Goenka and Kundra own a stake in a private company that is into the steel business. Both were confronted with Trivedi during the course of Wednesday's questioning session. Kundra who owns 11.7% stake in RR was also asked about the ownership pattern of the cricket team.
