CHENNAI: Embattled BCCI President N Srinivasan arrived here tonight, returning home after a hectic week which saw pressure mounting on him to quit in the wake of the IPL spot-fixing and betting scandal.

Srinivasan arrived by a Go Air flight from Mumbai around 9.30 pm but declined to respond to questions from the large contingent of mediapersons waiting at the airport.

He landed here shortly after BCCI Secretary Sanjay Jagdale and Treasurer Ajay Shirke quit from their respective posts in a bid to put pressure on him.

He made a quick exit from the airport and drove away to his home in a car.

Earlier in the day, Srinivasan has convened a Working Committee meeting of the cricket board.
