International conference on India-China-US trilateral ties
A three-day International conference on Economic and Strategic relations between India, China and the United States will be held here from January 21.
India, China and the US would be the determining factors in the 21st century. Hence, how the three nations interact among themselves would be important for the new global order of the century, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy told reporters here.
Sessions on Sino-India relations and US, Indo-US relations and China, India-China-US Energy Triangle, Sino-US relations and India would be held during the meet.
"Whether the India-China-US relations will end up as an 'eternal triangle' or as a 'healthy triad' is the most important question of global significance in the 21st century. The conference is aimed at beginning the search for 'what should be and what will be'," he said.
Thirty-five delegates, including former External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh and Adviser to Prime Minister Dr Sanjay Baru would take part in the conference.
India, China and the US are the three most populous nations, comprising 43 per cent of the global population. Measured in Purchasing Power Parity rates, these three countries' economies have the three largest GDPs in the world.
While United States is already an economic and military super power, India and China are among the fastest growing economies and each of the two nations possess a large military force.
Therefore, the bilateral and trilateral relations of these three nations in the coming decades will be of global interest, Swamy said.
