An intensive anti-Maoist operation will be launched soon in different areas including the worst-hit Jhumra hills in Jharkhand, DGP G S Rath said.

HAZARIBAGH (JHARKHAND): An intensive anti-Maoist operation will be launched soon in different areas including the worst-hit Jhumra hills in Jharkhand, DGP G S Rath said today.

"The Maoists in Jhumra hills will be flushed out the same way they were driven out of the Saranda forests in West Singhbhum district recently," Rath told reporters here.

To keep a watch on Maoist movement, two communication towers were in place in Jamshedpur and two more would be set up in Bokaro and Dhanbad districts, he said.

He said every police station in the state would be connected with the state police headquarters and divisional and district headquarters through communication network.

All police stations, he said, were equipped with anti-landmine vehicles and wireless sets.
