Insurance panel: BJP sends two new names for the Select Committee to Vice President Hamid Ansari

NEW DELHI: BJP has moved swiftly to fill the two vacancies caused in the Select Committee of Rajya Sabha dealing with the Insurance Bill after JP Nadda and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi became union ministers while the panel chief expressed confidence that its report will be submitted by the first week of the forthcoming winter session of Parliament.

“The names of BJP Rajya Sabha members V P Singh Bhadnor and R Ramakrishna were finalized for the Select Committee and have been sent to Vice President Hamid Ansari. On November 24, when the winter session begins, a resolution will be moved in the Rajya Sabha to get approval of the House,” a senior BJP leader privy to the developments said.
