Institutional quarantine for travelers from Chennai and Delhi

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, who announced the revised norms, said this was part of the strategy to contain the spread of the pandemic from across the state's border.

BENGALURU: Karnataka on Monday announced a new quarantine norm, according to which, those coming from Chennai and Delhi will spend the first three days in institutional quarantine and 11 days in home quarantine.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, who announced the revised norms, said this was part of the strategy to contain the spread of the pandemic from across the state's border.

There is no change in the quarantine norms for those coming from Maharashtra who will spend the first week in institutional quarantine and second week in home quarantine.


All these days, institutional quarantine rule was applicable to only those coming from Maharashtra. All others could spend their entire two weeks in home quarantine.
