Institutes to observe Swachch Bharat week from June 22 to 26

NEW DELHI: As part of the Swachch Bharat campaign, a week-long cleanliness drive will be observed in all institutes in the country from June 22 to 26 which include upkeep and cleanliness of premises and weeding out old files.

In a communication to all universities, UGC has sought participation in the "noble endeavour" and report back to it about the activities undertaken.

Institutes have been asked to ensure upkeep of areas outside the office including parking lot, pathways, toilets, stairs and lifts.

They have also been asked to dispose of unusable vehicles, furniture, electronics and electrical equipment.

The Swachch Bharat campiagn was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October last year.
