Built in a fortnight
According to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, this is the first open hospital created in a fortnight by the MMRDA. The facility has about 1,000 beds and 200 ICU beds.

Mumbai runs out of beds
The state CM tweeted about another care centre for coronavirus being constructed at Mahalaxmi with 600 beds and 125 ICU beds. Patients with moderate symptoms will be housed there. Another facility with 535 beds is underway at Goregaon.

Many more underway
More and more centres like this are being set up, said Maharashtra CM. Racecourse, Dahisar, Goregain, and Mulund will soon see covid care centres and hospitals with over 7,000 beds in two weeks, and my the end of May, a total of 2,475 beds at NSCI Worli, NESCO, Mahalaxmi, Bandra, Goregaon, will be made available.

Hospital requisitioned
Apart from the centres, services of hospital which have a minimum of 100 beds and 20 ICUs have been requisitioned. Apart from that, a care centre with 30,000 beds for those who cant self-isolate has also been created.
