INLD prepares 'report card' to corner BJP in Haryana Assembly

CHANDIGARH: Stating that the BJP-led government in Haryana has failed on all fronts in its first 10 months, the Indian National Lok Dal ( INLD) today said it has prepared department-wise "report card" to corner the ruling outfit in the monsoon session of the state assembly beginning here next month.

"We have prepared department-wise report cards. Our report cards will cover the failures of various departments and we will be highlighting this in the upcoming session of the state Assembly," INLD state president Ashok Arora said addressing a news conference here in presence of party deputy leader Jaswinder Singh Sandhu.

Sandhu and another senior INLD leader Rampal Majra, who was also present, said that the party will raise the issues concerning the people of the state in the upcoming Assembly session.

Arora hit out at the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government, saying it had failed on all fronts and various sections including farmers, employees, students, among others were on warpath.

Majra indicated that INLD and Congress may launch a combined attack in the Assembly to take on the government on some common issues on which both parties have been agitating including issues concerning farmers and old-age pensions.

He also said a peculiar situation was emerging in Haryana as various BJP leaders were speaking out of sync.

Further, citing the issue of Jat reservation, Arora said, "While Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala and Union Minister Birender Singh are in favour of having reservation for the Jats, but (to thwart various Jat organisations' proposed call of sealing Delhi borders in September to press their demand for reservation for the community, BJP's) Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini has announced to form an 'Other Backward Class' (OBC) brigade."
