NEW DELHI: The Delhi government’s celebration event for the success of odd-even scheme on Sunday turned out to be yet another occasion for sparring with the Centre. A protestor interrupted Arvind Kejriwal’s speech by throwing ink and pamphlets, prompting Manish Sisodia to call it a “conspiracy by BJP”.

“They have committed a CNG scam. I have proof,” yelled Bhawna Sharma, barely five minutes after Kejriwal had begun speaking.

Sharma identified herself as the Punjab unit chief of the Aam Aadmi Sena, an outfit claiming to fight the AAP. While she was being led away by police after the attack, Kejriwal, standing from the dais, asked her to be let off and documents taken from her about the scam. “As you have just seen, some powers try to put roadblocks when something good happens,” he said, referring to the incident.

The response from Sisodia wasn’t as measured. “This is a wellthought-out conspiracy against Kejriwal and AAP. The police should catch conspirators which, we are sure investigations will reveal, to be from BJP,” Sisodia said.
