Nagaland Assembly Speaker Chotisuh Sazo announced a four-point resolution adopted during the meeting late last night.
The resolution said that efforts would be directed at addressing environment related policies and legislation needed to address growing concerns articulated by organizations like Indian Mountain Initiative (IMI).
Sazo and Sikkim Speaker Karma Tempo Namgyal Gyaltsen will jointly write to all Speakers of hill states for action.
"This effort will be facilitated by IMI in collaboration with GLOBE India," Sazo said.
It was resolved that the legislators, in groups and in their own states, would examine all issues and return to the next summit with concrete policies, programmes and solutions.
It further assured to take steps so that the youth and the people of the states were fully benefited by sustainable development.
All the legislators of Nagaland under the chairmanship Sazo also resolved to immediately form the Nagaland Chapter of GLOBE India.
