The blasts were meant to disrupt peace in the capital, but the people behind these activities should know that they wont be successful, said CII director-general Chandrajit Banerjee.
Agreed Ficci secretary general Amit Mitra: Indian businesses are not afraid of blasts. The economy will be unaffected by them and defeat the motive of the perpetrators.
Assocham president Sajjan Jindal added: We condemn those who are involved in effecting those blasts and the organisations that are behind these dastardly acts.
However, since the blasts targeted vulnerable areas with high consumer footfall, the industry is concerned about security in and around commercial buildings.
We must ensure strengthening of security measures across the country and should enable community based information network in synergy with the security apparatus to avoid any future mishaps, said Dr Mitra.
CII has stressed on the need for security upgradation across commercial establishments in the country. Indian industry has to bring the issue of effective security to avoid such incidents, said Mr Banerjee.
