Industries will be provided all facilities: Jharkhand government
RANCHI: Jharkhand government today extended a helping hand to all industrial houses keen to set up factories in the state.

"We will help industrialists setting up industries in Jharkhand. We will look after their security too," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Prasad Singh said in the Assembly.

Defending Jindal Steel and Power Limited against BJP's indirect objection in helping it, Singh said, "Jindal is not just a Member of the Parliament, he is an industrialist and the government would help all the industrialists."

Singh also reminded the opposition that National Thermal Power Limited and Damodar Valley Corporations are PSUs.

His reply came in the wake of senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Raghuvar Das protesting against land acquisition to industrial houses and making water available to a company in Godda district.

"We are not against industrilisation, but agriculture land should not be given to industries rather we would prefer industry and agriculture going side by side," Das said while speaking on a cut motion moved by the opposition against the government's first supplementary budget.
