Friday was a day of hectic developments as the JJ Hospital finally managed to recover the items sent by the Raigad police to them in 2012 after they recovered parts of Sheena's decomposed body.
The Raigad police officials had been claiming all this while that they had sent samples for testing at the Kalina Forensic lab but it turned out to be with the JJ Hospital. JJ Hospital Dean Dr TP Lahane said they had managed to find samples of Sheena's tooth, hair, scalp and bone that were handed over to them by the Raigad police.
The hospital has now given the samples to the Mumbai police. Meanwhile, the Mumbai police went to Raigad and dug up the area where Sheena's body was buried. Three to four spots were dug after which a skull and some bones have been recovered.
Mumbai police sources claimed that Khanna was also taken to the Raigad forests. However, there was no confirmation from top police officials.
