Indo-US nuclear deal: Congress leader Gurudas Kamat asks government to explain issues resolved
Kamat targetted the Modi government over high prices of diesel and petrol despite a drastic fall in international crude oil prices.

"Government should give clarity on the nuclear deal. The Indo-US nuclear deal was done during the UPA regime. But there were some hurdles and issues.
"Now Obama and Modi say they have reached a breakthrough understanding. The country needs to know what is the understanding and how it has been reached," Kamat said.
Speaking at a rally here, Kamat targetted the Modi government over high prices of diesel and petrol despite a drastic fall in international crude oil prices.
He also said that Congress was strong in its resolve to uphold and preserve the secular fabric of the country.
Hitting out at Maharashtra government for allegedly favouring builders, he said "there is a conspiracy to sell off the city to builders and Congress would fight against this move."
He further alleged that the BJP-Shiv Sena-run Brihamumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was deep into corruption.
The rally-cum-protest organised by the city unit of the Congress riddled with groupism saw only three of the five MLAs attending. Former minister Varsha Gaikwad and Mohammed Arif Naseem Khan stayed away from the meeting.
Ex-MPs Sanjay Nirupam, Priya Dutt and Milind Deora also did not show up.
Meanwhile, BJP condemned Kamat's remarks saying he has no no locus standi to comment on issues of national importance.
"He is not big enough to deserve a comment from BJP," party MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar said.
