Indo-Pak expo to begin tomorrow at Jalandhar

Over 150 exhibitors from Pak would put up 40 stalls consisting of food, textiles, and leather, at the Indo-Pak Trade Expo, IPEX-13.

JALANDHAR: Over 150 exhibitors from Pakistan would put up 40 stalls consisting of Pakistani food, textiles, and leather, among others, at the Indo-Pak International Trade Expo, IPEX-13, starting tomorrow here, organisers said.

PHD Chamber Regional Director Dalip Sharma and Khursheed Barlas from The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry in a joint press conferene here said over 150 exhibitors from Pakistan would put up 40 stalls consisting of Pakistani food, textiles, leather, Kabuli dry fruits, home appliances crockery, furniture etc.

Sharm said such expos would help in promoting bilateral trade among the two neighbouring countries.

Khursheed said that bilateral trade between both the countries has increased to 66 per cent more as compared to last year. He said that both Rawalpindi Chamber and PHD Chamber are in consultation to organise such expos in the UK and Mauritius also in future.

He invited the PHD chamber to organise an expo in Islamabad in September this year.
