Indo-Bangla border put on alert

SHILLONG: Alert was sounded along the Indo-Bangla border following Saturday's serial blasts in Delhi, BSF said today.

The alert has been sounded to prevent movement of anti-national elements. "Extra precautions have been taken in the vulnerable points, operational activities increased and patrolling intensified," BSF officials said.

Troops have been asked to prevent movement of suspicious elements along the entire border, they said.

Some of the militant strikes in the country in recent times were traced to Bangladesh and to jehadi groups operating from that country.
