BENGALURU: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy skipped a high profile event at Dharmasthala and canceled all engagements on Wednesday as he was indisposed.

He had himself examined at Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology in Bengaluru . He later expressed regret over being unable to participate in the two important functions.

"My participation was scheduled today in the 51st year celebration of the Dr. D Veerendra Heggade's coronation as Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari and also the Valmikih Jayanti celebrations in Bengaluru. However, due to unforeseen health issues I could not attend both programmes," he said in a statement.

"The Manjusha museum which I was scheduled to inaugurate today is a valued contribution towards the society," he said, hailing Heggade's initiatives and work.

He was scheduled to attend the Valmiki Jayanthi celebrations organized by the Social Welfare department. Karnataka observes government holiday on the day of Valmiki Jayanthi.
