The official count of confirmed Covid-19 cases in India has gone up to 9,152 as of April 13, according to Union Health ministry data released today morning.

The number of the dead now stands at 308, while that of cured/discharged/migrated cases is 857.

Maharashtra has by far the highest confirmed cases at 1,985, followed by Delhi (1,154) and Tamil Nadu 1,075, official records showed.


The new data comes in the backdrop of an almost confirmed extension of the ongoing pan-India lockdown till the end of this month.

Meanwhile, globally confirmed cases have now gone up to 1.8 million (as of April 13 morning). Over 1,14,000 people have died from the disease so far.
