India's Covid-19 count crosses 1,00,000 mark
India's official coronavirus case count crossed the 1 lakh mark today, Union Healthy Ministry's daily update showed.

At 8 am, the total number of cases stood at 1,01,139, casualties at 3,163 and the number of the cured/discharged at 39,174.

Maharashtra, the state hardest hit by the virus, has 35,058 cases now. Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, the second and third most hit, have so far recorded 11,760 and 11,745 cases, respectively.


At last count, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) had tested 23,02,792 samples for the virus.

The global case count went past 4.8 million as of today's morning hours. The worldwide death toll is inching towards 3.2 lakh mark.
