MELBOURNE: In a bid to ease mental stress of the Indian student victims of racial attacks in Australia, several groups, including 'Art of Living' and 'Marshal Art Institute', are offering free sessions to them to calm their disturbed mind and train them in self-defence skills.

According to Amit Menghani of the Federation of Indian Student Association here, the federation has received offers to help such victims free of cost from the two institutions.

"We are currently working out on how to set up the sessions of 'Art of Living' and marshal art," he said, adding the Art of Living classes will be free for the victims and it would kick off on Wednesday at RMIT university campus here.

"We are also working with the institutes if we can offer the sessions to all the Indian students in near future keeping in mind the stress they are under," he said.

"The course of Art of Living is expected to calm the disturbed mind of these students," Menghani said.

Meanwhile, Marshal Art Institute has offered to organise self-defence classes for the students.

He said there was an strange mental pressure that was building up in the aftermath of the violent attacks on Indian students here. Australia is currently facing pressure from New Delhi to curb the growing attacks that have taken place on Indian students.
