Indian, Pakistan PMs hold talks in Bhutan

Both leaders met on the sidelines of SAARC summit.

THIMPHU: The prime ministers of India and Pakistan held direct talks on Thursday in Bhutan, fuelling hopes of movement in the rival nations' glacial progress towards resuming a substantive peace dialogue.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart, Yousuf Raza Gilani, met on the sidelines of the eight-nation South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit under way in the Bhutanese capital, Thimphu.
